DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Family and friends of Brian Loncar are reeling from his shocking death. Loncar, also known as “The Strong Arm”, was found dead Sunday. Police were called to his office and were examining his Rolls Royce, which was parked outside.
The exact cause of death or where he was found has not been confirmed. Loncar’s death comes less than two weeks after his daughter committed suicide. He was 56 years old.
16-year-old Grace Loncar suffered with depression and took her life on November 25th, the day after Thanksgiving. She was laid to rest last Friday. Grace was a junior at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing Arts in Dallas.
The family issued a statement about Brian and Grace’s deaths.
“Our family is filled with enormous sadness and profound grief following the death of our beloved son, husband, father, friend, colleague, neighbor, advisor, and a man trusted by many people in Dallas and throughout the state of Texas. We are shocked and numbed by these tragic events and ask the community and the news media to respect our privacy in this most difficult time. Right now, we are hurting and struggling to understand. Today, we are embracing each other; we know this pain and heartache will be with us forever.”
Loncar was well known throughout the state of Texas for his colorful commercials.
Loncar founded Loncar & Associates in Dallas in 1988. According to the firm’s website, they have offices in 11 Texas cities including Dallas, Fort Worth, San Antonio and Houston.
