DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The Texas Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting to get comments on a new project to redesign LBJ Freeway.
The meeting will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Highland Oaks Church of Christ (10805 Walnut Hill Lane).
The proposal, called the “I-635 LBJ East Project,” would change to five general purpose lanes and two managed toll lanes and expand the frontage roads. Noise walls would also be added in some areas.
It is estimated to cost about $1.5 billion.
Construction is expected to start in 2018. TxDOT said it will take about four years to complete.
