FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) There will soon be more job opportunities for students in Fort Worth. A smartphone app-driven moving service is adding as many as 150 new positions this summer, most of those going to students. It’s called “Bellhops” and works like Uber. Customers log on to request help moving, set a date and time, and they get the profiles for the movers who will be showing up. An average move costs about $165 which includes the help of two bellhops for two hours. Customers can also request help with furniture assembly and packing, as long as they have the materials on hand. Workers are required to have a background check and are consistently rated by customers and other bellhops.
