Irving Educator Charged with Improper Relationship with Student

Irving MugshotIRVING (WBAP/KLIF) – An Irving teacher has been placed on leave after being charged with Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student.

Irving Police say 60-year-old Farley Ashford Simon is suspected of having an inappropriate relationship with a 17-year-old female student. He was arrested and booked into the Irving City Jail and bonded out at $25,000.

The Irving Independent School District is also investigating and placed Simon on administrative leave and is not allowed to work with students or be present on Irving ISD property.

According to the district, Simon was employed since 2014 as a JROTC instructor.
