NORTH TEXAS (WBAP/KLIF NEWS) The danger for wildfires is high with how windy it is across North Texas.

Tarrant County Fire Marshal, Randy Renois, says the smallest spark could start a huge blaze.

“With the humidity being low and dead vegetation, it’s ripe to burn. Anything could set it off.”

He says if you accidentally start a fire on your property, call 911 immediately, instead of trying to put it out by yourself.

Renois urges North Texans not to burn trash, throw cigarettes out of your car window, weld outdoors, or cook on a grill that doesn’t catch embers before the hit the ground.
