The Wells Report
A Speech Before the People;
America’s Tea Party-Southfork Ranch, Plano Texas
July 4, 2009
My Fellow Americans…Fellow Citizens…Friends, and Fellow Texans. I will be brief, as there is a mountain of work before us, and sadly, time is short.
I come to you this 4th of July; Year of our Lord 2009, having traveled directly from our Nation’s Capitol; Washington, D.C. Where yesterday, along with my wife Susan, and my youngest son Colton, I reverently beheld the beloved documents that gave rise to the greatest country on the face of our Earth. It is my privilege to report to you that those papers written, and voted into law by the Giant Men of American History, still contain the founding words that burn in our hearts, and propel this Republic forward.
I can also report that, in my mind at least, these words etched on parchment, effortlessly soar above today’s opportunistic Lilliputian political minds who seek only to foolishly parse these Founding Documents into chaos, in pursuit of pathetic and transitory political advantage at the plainly unacceptable expense of us all.
One need only bear even the most casual witness to the cynical lot operating in open defiance to their oaths of office, their outright ignorance of our just demands, and the pathological indifference to our will, to see that they would and are, indeed as we speak, setting fire to those Great Papers, and are working to cast aside the ashes so to build their Idol’s Temple from this Shining City on the Hill.
The Charges are too many to count; however, I will try…
· They have laid our borders open to the poor from other countries, seeking only to curry the favor of votes from those who first mock, and then evade our laws for their own narrow political advantage.
· They have plundered the National Treasury and given the proceeds to their evil patrons of greed and avarice, who first demanded control of our wealth and markets, and then ran both into the unyielding ground of the uniquely American Truth; called Free Enterprise; All the while expecting us to save them from their crimes and misconduct, with our benevolence, hard work, and sweat.
· They are, in the most outrageous governmental act in our World’s History, now seeking to levy baseless taxes on even God’s work, setting a monetary penance on the Carbon cornerstone of all life on this Planet, following the insane lie that somehow the warm weather we enjoy today will destroy us all.
· And finally, they seek to stand in the way of our Doctors, Nurses, and Hospitals in an effort to probe the limits of our purses, as those healers use their skills to save us from disease and death.
I say that for these crimes, and if only in the name of restoring Public Accountability, that we have given all we should to these fools, and further say let the word go forth from this time and place, reaching every true Citizen, that these power-drunken criminals should stop their awful work now and forever, and immediately leave their defiled offices, and accept the disgrace they are so worthy of.
Friends, today’s Celebration of our Founding Fathers, their Works, and the Nation they gave us, demands more than cheers, and rousing but empty words. It is now time for us to first reclaim the Constitutionally-empowered Governance of this great land our Forebears have given us. And then for ourselves and for our children, move forward in the unyielding, and ancient work demanded of all Americans; The work of preserving Liberty & Freedom.
Our Greatest President, Abraham Lincoln once said the truest words in the American Tapestry; “….that a government of the People, by
the People, and for the People shall not perish from this Earth.” I say now and for all those who agree, that this current, and temporary government of the Politcians, by the Politicians, and for Politicians should not just perish from this Earth, but should do so without delay. And I say that work has begun here, and now.
