"So long, Teddy"
Move over Michael Jackson. The world is now fixated on the death of that dishonorable senator from Massachusetts, Ted Kennedy. People guilty of manslaughter are usually not held in high regard. I guess Michelle Malkin’s analogy is fitting: In tribal Africa, the man who brings shame and misfortune is shunned from the village; the Democrats make him their leader. News reports are referring to Kennedy as “The brother who mattered most.” Actually, JFK was most likely the one who mattered most. JFK may have been a Democrat but he still had common sense. If he were to be resurrected, he would take one look at the Democrat Party, hang his head in shame, and then join the Republican Party. My great uncle received the Medal of Freedom from Harry Truman and Obama’s decision to award this to Ted Kennedy has only cheapened its meaning. I just hope and pray that Ted Kennedy’s successor will bring to the Senate the values our founding fathers would cherish.
And Ted, give my regards to Mary Jo Kopechne.
